About

Bruce Buescher is an architect, artist and musician. He grew up in rural central Texas and went to school for architecture at Auburn University, during which time he studied abroad in Rome and attended the internationally acclaimed Rural Studio. His broad experience in both rural and urban settings has given him exposure to many diverse contexts from which to learn and draw inspiration. He has worked extensively on both large and small architectural projects and along the way has cultivated a love for the philosophy and theory of art and architecture.

Classical music training and architecture school imbued Bruce with patience and precision in his creative process. He is often found bent over his table laboring over the subtle details of the piece, and enjoys the slow revelations offered by quiet and steady work. He loves cities and also loves nature. The sky, the ocean and light particularly fascinate him.

Bruce and his wife, Ruthie, currently reside in San Antonio, TX, where Bruce works as an architect at Tobin Smith Architect.
